Idea: Using the 3DS as a Wii U controller (UPDATE)
A while back, before E3 2011 even, I posted an article (https://ncbblog.wordpress.com/2011/04/17/project-cafe-idea-using-the-3ds-as-a-controller/) about the 3DS being able to be used as a Wii U controller, but the limitations of one less control stick would make it hard to implement.
Then the new dock-boat thing came out, and suddenly, the 3DS has just as many buttons as the Wii U will have; even the in-facing camera and gyroscope. Like I said in the previous article (https://ncbblog.wordpress.com/2011/04/17/project-cafe-idea-using-the-3ds-as-a-controller/), it would save many gamers the cost of buying the inevitably high-priced controllers, as they would already have a 3DS.
What could it do with 2 screens instead of one? Could it stream all games to the handheld, and not just games that only use one screen? Would the 3D be used in any way? These are just a few basic ideas of mine, but if developers are smart, the possibilities for this idea could be vast.
